The SprintBots
Over the 2017-2018 HydroDynamics FLL Season, our members, Albert and Sam, mentored FLL Team SprintBots. They taught SprintBots essential skills such as problem solving, innovating, and thinking creatively to accomplish the missions.
DeCoders
Decoders was a rookie FTC team that came to our garage for advice on starting their own team as we were in a similar position as them, being an independent community team. We helped them understand how FIRST works and tips to help them be more efficient that we've learned during our rookie year.
SwimBots
During the 2018-19 Into Orbit FLL Season, Arthur and Ryan mentored Team SwimBots in their rookie season in FIRST. Over the season, they taught them about passive mechanisms and how to make their robot more reliable and guided them to the Peninsula Regionals Competitions.
AGITARI
With the abundance of students in the area eager to get into STEM, there was great opportunity for us to encourage others to join robotics, and in this case with FTC Team Agitari. With our experience, we were able to help a budding team start FIRST robotics, and are continuing to mentor them to this day. With our help, the team was able to get a headstart into robotics.
GIRLS OF STEEL
During the 2019 Google Qualifier, we were offered the opportunity of mentoring FTC Team Girls of Steel, as their robot was not functioning or coded properly. We assisted them in assembling their robot and helped them write some of their code, so that they could participate in the competition. We thoroughly enjoyed assisting them as we got to make new friends and help them learn more about STEM.
